How to Find Your Perfect Size When Buying Clothes Online in Pakistan
The number one worry when buying clothes online is simple: will it fit? The good news is that you can get your size right almost every time with a measuring tape, five minutes and a few smart habits. This guide shows you exactly how.
Why sizes are confusing
Sizes are not the same everywhere. A Medium from one brand can fit like a Large from another, and many branded clothes in Pakistan follow US or UK sizing, which often runs bigger than local sizing. That is why measurements in inches or centimetres are much more reliable than the letter on the label.
Step 1: Measure yourself (5 minutes)
Use a soft measuring tape â the kind a tailor uses. Wear a thin t-shirt and stand straight.
- Chest: around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms. Keep the tape level.
- Waist: around your natural waist, where you normally wear your trousers.
- Hips: around the widest part of your hips.
- Inseam (for trousers): from the crotch down to the ankle, on the inside of the leg.
Write these numbers in your phone notes. You will use them every time you shop.
Step 2: Use a shirt that already fits you perfectly
This is the most accurate trick of all. Take your favourite t-shirt, lay it flat and measure:
- Pit to pit â straight across from one armpit to the other.
- Length â from the top of the shoulder to the bottom hem.
Double the pit-to-pit number and you have the garment's chest size. When you compare this with a product's measurements, you know exactly how it will fit you â not just what the label says.
Step 3: Size guide by type of clothing
T-shirts and polos
For a regular fit, choose a size where the garment chest is about 2â4 inches bigger than your body chest. Sports t-shirts are often slimmer, so if you like a relaxed fit, go one size up. Shop cotton t-shirts, sport t-shirts and polos.
Trousers and pants
Waist is the key number. Trousers with an elastic or drawstring waist are much more forgiving, which makes them a safe choice online. For fitted pants, match your waist measurement and check the length. Browse sport trousers and casual & formal pants.
Jackets and hoodies
Always think about what you will wear underneath. If you plan to layer a hoodie or sweater under your jacket, choose the size up. Check the sleeve length too â sleeves that stop above your wrist feel short in winter. See our jackets and hoodies.
Women's leggings and activewear
Stretch fabrics fit a range of sizes. Use your waist and hip measurement, and if you are between two sizes, the bigger one is usually more comfortable for all-day wear. Shop leggings and activewear.
Kids' clothes
Children grow fast. Most parents buy one size up so the clothes last the whole season. Kids' sizes usually go by age, but height is a better guide â measure your child and compare. See our Kids section.
Step 4: Read the product page carefully
- Check the size and every photo â if a photo shows the size tag, compare it with the size in the title.
- Check the measurements if they are listed, and compare with your own shirt from Step 2.
- Read the condition â every item on our store has its condition graded clearly. Learn what each grade means in our Condition Guide.
- Ask before you order. Not sure? Message us on WhatsApp with your measurements and we will help you choose.
